Took my family there for the first time. Kids were starving. Not impressed! Way to much salt! Spice levels are all out of whack. Lite mild was too spicy. Needless to say no one finished their food. And disappointed. All went in the garbage. Was pretty pricey too! I had to apologize to my kids and ended up going somewhere else. Maybe it was an off night but not going back!

I was so excited to try Dave's Hot Chicken as this location in Chicago is fairly new. I live in the West Side of Chicago and drove 30mins up North to try it. I placed my order ahead of time so I wouldn't have to wait. When I got to the restaurant, the employees only asked for my name but I had my order number and email ready to show. I was soo excited to try out this new location, as I have seen it on social media. However, my excitement quickly disappeared after that first bite of chicken. It was the saltiest piece of food I have ever tasted. Even the fries had way too much seasoning and the saltiness was unbearable. With the help of the slaw, sauce, and pickles, it was edible. Maybe I just received an order that had more than average seasoning... The spice level was great, though.

My sister and I ordered for pick up and when we arrived the cashier asked for the name and then said it was already picked up. Weird. But you know what else was weird.. they were looking at me sideways as If I was an inconvenience to them because they gave my food away! And now I have to wait. The staff was rude and unhelpful.

Way too much seasoning on chicken. They didn't have milkshakes as listed on menu. The best thing there was the cherry coke.

Chicken was incredible salty and not to mention the Mac and cheese tasted like school cafeteria Mac and cheese didn't have one bit of flavor the only good thing was the cheese fries that's why I gave it a one star -10/10 would never order this again waste of money tasted terrible and was way overpriced

One word to say what I thought Over priced chicken I don't mind paying for good food but for chicken $40 for two people for chicken bites the chicken tenders with fries and a soda way too much

I feel bad for the people that have to work there. The walls are so ugly to look at and the music is so loud. I was in there for 7 mins and was questioning why didn't I just turn around and leave the moment I walked in lol. Chicken is ok. If you want to try this place just throw some Cajun seasoning in the back of your mouth lmao. The 2 stars are for the employees or else I'd it give it a 1.

I excitedly came across Dave's Hot Chicken on my search for a new Chicken place to try. I loved that the menu was simple with a few options. You can get a chicken tender or chicken tender slider and both comes with fries. I ordered the chicken tender and chicken slider meal with a side of mac-n-cheese so my household can try it.
