TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

My husband and I got this for delivery to start off the New Year and avoid going out in the snow. It hit the spot! We were both pleasantly surprised. The quality of chicken went noticed. The portions were great and the spice level, perfect. Would certainly order again!
It was my first time to Dave's Hot Chicken. Pretty delicious. Comparable to chick fil a. But definitely better because you get to choose your spice level. The fries came seasoned and crispy. The slider was my favorite especially since I added cheese and it had some type of spicy Mayo. They also give you packets of honey so you can throw on there too. Staff was super friendly and the restaurant seemed pretty clean.
My friend and I planned to eat and I never thought we would have time to make this plan happen but it did. Yesterday, Out of nowhere she messaged me asking if I could go with her to eat. Wanted to try a new spot to eat around my apartment and saw this place opened up decided to give it a shot. Place is very clean and the staff were super friendly. I was unsure with the pricing as I usually tend to compare the price to amount of food you get and compare it to other places that I could've went instead for me same price. Every time I came here I got an amazing experience in their service. Their place was very clean and the staff were friendly and welcoming. Since I love spicy food Im memerized to their level of spices. You can choose any level of spices. They have levels of none, light mild, mild, medium, hot, very hot and extra hot. As a first timer, I love that the menu is basically 3 options to keep things simple and you can pick the level of spice. I got the tender and slider combo, and my husband got the 2 slider combo. Each combo comes with a side. I stuck with the french fries, and he changed his to mac and cheese. I ordered Dave's for pickup recently through their website online ordering and was super impressed. Their online menu is super easy to navigate- customizations are easy to make as well. I ordered the half and half dinner- one tender and one slider and opted to sub the fries for the Mac and cheese - at no extra cost! My fiancé tried the two slider meal. We wanted to try it, out of curiosity. First red flag was the cashier, handling money and wearing no gloves, grabbing our drink cups and putting his fingers inside the cup. He grabbed the cups and had practically his whole hand in there. Yuck! Management needs to teach proper hygiene. Second red flag was good runners not properly masking. 5 stars for the best hot piece of chicken! And their fries are absolutely phenomenal, as well! Initially, I was surprised at their price point. The 1 tender combo without a drink is about $12, same as the one slider combo. But, the tenders are big and the slider is a sandwich, it's filling!
