TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

The meals can be ordered three different ways; #1, 2 tenders w/fries, #2, 2 sliders w/fries, and #3 ,1 tender + 1 Slider w/fries I chose the #3, The chicken tender was plump and moist with a crisp outer shell that had been drenched in a somewhat spicy vinegar sauce. This might be one of my new favorite chicken places. Crispy chicken, hot was the perfect for me, and great service. I preferred the chicken tender over the sandwich but both were good. A must try for the area.
Simple menu, easy choices. How hot would you like? Been there several times. They are brand new so every employee is also brand new. That being said, delicious every time! Heat level consistency is a work in progress but hot damn so good every time. Talked to the manager, they do run out of things a lot because of supply chain issues but I am happy they are the first one in Ohio, and it's halal! Sliders with honey on em for the win!
I ordered Dave's Hot Chicken via Doordash, the delivery service, on Sunday, 27 February 2022. Funny enough, I ended up picking up my dinner myself because this was my first Doordash order and I didn't want any delivery issues plus I wasn't charged for delivery anyway (there was a $0 delivery special). FOOD -- I ordered the 2 piece chicken tenders with fries that also has some cucumbers and a side of Dave's sauce. This chicken is the real deal. Ordered Combo #3 to try both the tender and a slider. The slider stole the show. First of all, it's not a slider, it's a fricken chicken sandwich. Secondly, whatever they put on the sandwich is heavenly. I'm telling you, it was absolutely delicious! Ordered medium, which was just right. The food is solid, but not great. I would have like a few more options on the menu. One of the smallest menus around. The staff was friendly. I'm struggling to see the amount and quality of the food I receive as being worth the amount I paid. Drop the price of a meal & drink by $5 and this would be a 4 star experience. Until then I will most likely find other options.

When I read the reviews - I was pretty confused with the inconsistency. People had opinions all across the board! But after trying it, I definitely can see why - and for the most part I agree. I got the hot chicken with one sandwich and one tender and fries. I will say my first bite with Amazing!!! I have not had a hot chicken satisfy my craving like this sandwich did. The chicken sandwich here has freaking amazing! Highly recommend! Juicy chicken, and the sauce is good af.
Decent fried chicken in case you want a mix-up from Hot Chicken Takeover or Canes. I finally got the chance to try this place after waiting a few weeks for the lines to die down a little, and was pleased with what I found. To put it concisely, the food was pretty good; not spectacular, but definitely satisfying and worth a stop. The chicken was cooked and seasoned well, although it was slightly on the greasier side compared to the other chicken-based restaurants in the area.
