Best juiciest, crispiest, and spiciest chicken I've ever had in North Carolina since I moved here 2 years ago the fries are great to you don't even need ketchup. Service is super friendly and quick. The decoration is amazing. I love the walls and the theme of this place.

I'm in Wilmington often enough for business I always try something different. Heard good things and wanted to check it out. Spent around $20 for a number 3 and a drink. The portion was bigger than I was expecting and everything was hot and fresh. Got the tender with Medium Spice and the slider with Hot spice. The honey and Dave's sauce were a great combo. Was travelling with an international group that included several Muslims. Dave's advertised as halal so we decided to check it out. Dang, it was some good chicken. I ordered the two sliders with fries meal. Fried nice and crispy with some delicious hot sauce (I ordered medium) and a good bun. For me, Bojangles is the gold standard for fried chicken. That being said, Dave's is definetly silver. Fried chicken, hot sauce, rolls...what else to say.

I'm a chicken sandwich fan so I was excited to try Dave's. With all the mixed reviews on Yelp, I wasn't sure what to expect. But we came in on a Saturday around 3pm so it wasn't busy at all. The staff person was friendly and the restaurant had a cool vibe. We decide to get the #2 to share since the staff said the sliders were big. Both times that i've visited I've had an issue with my order. We always check our bag before leaving when we pick up food and we had something missing from our order both times. While this would normally garner a one or two star review, they've always fixed their mistake and made up for it with a free item and making everything right. Some places won't do that for you so I appreciate the level of care they have for their customers. I just wish the mistake weren't made in the first place. Honestly this place is very underrated! The food is delicious, although it is a little overpriced for what it is. I've never had to wait to place an order and the food has always came out within 5 minutes. No, the staff isn't the nicest, but come on, it's a fast food restaurant where employees are probably earning barely the minimum wage. What would you expect? On cleanness I'd give it a 5/10, given that there's always been dirty tables every time I've been. Restrooms weren't spotless either.

The chicken was seasoned well and I enjoyed their spicy sandwiches. The cheese fries weren't soft but crunchy and just right.

Got the number one, two tenders (I chose hot heat) and fries. Came with two pickle slices, some excellent dipping sauce and two slices of bread. Very tasty, served very hot, which I lived. Fries were crunchy and maybe sort of Cajun style, excellent. Tenders had a perfect breading, and were huge: got to-go boxes and a second meal out of one order.
