This was my first time going to Dave's hot chicken. I went for dinner and it was a slow time at the restaurant. The wait took about 20 minutes which I was a little disappointed in since there were only a few customers in the restaurant. I got the #3 with cheese on the slider and the fries. I do not recommend getting the cheese as they barely put any on the fries or the slider. I think they charge 50 cents each time cheese is added to a item. Total waste of a dollar. So delicious! Only complaint is that you can't just get one sandwich. They are called "sliders", but are the size of a normal sandwich. Definitely want to go back though. The food was so good and fresh!

So I ordered the slider and tender meal. Extra hot. I enjoyed it. The chicken was very moist and juicy flavor was phenomenal. Dave's sauce was just sauce to me. The atmosphere was welcoming and dining area was clean. I will try the reaper next time I visit

Was looking forward to trying this as I've been looking for a good spot to eat Nashville HOT chicken ever since our trip to Nashville TN in 2021. This place was spot on with the flavor. A little pricey but what isn't these days?! We questioned the portion on the #1 "2 chicken tenders with a side", but the tenders are so large that this was plenty.

The closest to "Nashville Hot Chicken" that I've found at the East Coast! As soon as I saw Dave's was coming I knew I had to try... And for taste I wasn't disappointed. I will say first impressions: * Long line at noon, but it wen pretty fast. Got in line at 12:28 and got our food at 1:01. * Environment is loud. There was plenty of people in and out, so the door was constantly being opened, along with louder music playing and the employees calling out the orders to pickup. The chicken is good quality, but I like a variety of sauces and they offer the one sauce (mayo & ketchup) . And it's over priced (one chicken tender slider, one chicken tender on the side and a small boat of fries were $14 - so 2 chicken tenders, 2 slices of bread and a small order of fries. It's fast food. That didn't include the drink. Poor price point. I'd rather have zaxby's for the price (5 chicken tenders, any sauce you want, fries, drink & Texas toast for $13).

I've eaten at multiple Hot Chicken establishments in Nashville and it's fought to choose a favorite. When I see one in other towns I have to try it to get my HC fix. Dave's is "ok", heat level is moderate for the Hot but the sodium level is way to high!

Have you missed me?!? It's been a minute, So first things first, I arrived at Dave's Hot Chicken on a rainy day and it was almost completely empty, with the exception of two other patrons and what seemed like a a million staffers (about 8). I order my food, a number 2 (there are only three options) which consists of 2 sliders and fries. I also ordered an additional side of mac and cheese, because why not. I was introduced to "hot chicken" a few years back and was excited to see it come to Wilmington. I must say, although it was good, the mild was spicier than I would have liked, so be aware of the spice levels and enjoy in moderation.
