I decided to visit while I was already on Mass Ave and saw there was no line. The place was clean and the staff were super friendly and informed about the menu. We ordered the 2 tenders and fries and added a slider and extra tender. I'm a spicy girl, but was warned against getting hot, so I went with medium and I'm glad I did because it did have some kick to it. The fries were well seasoned and the chicken was hot and fresh. Really great chicken, definitely messy to eat though. Mac n cheese was average, but fries and chicken were both spot on.

Had Daves Hot Chicken for the first time and I was not disappointed!!!! I went with the two HOT sliders with fries. Presentation was great, flavor was kickin' and an employee recommended I put honey on my sliders... game changer. Great place, will definitely be back!!

No words! Chicken is sooooooooo good!!!!! The medium with the honey on it is so good! I love the flavor, the crunch and the juice!!! Fire ass Mac and cheese too!

Dave's, although a little on the pricier side for a chicken sandwich, hits all the check marks. The chicken is succulent and juicy, the fries are some of the best crinkle cut fries out there, and the pickles add a much needed crunch and dill contrast to the heat of the chicken. Would i come here daily or weekly like i do with Chick Fil A? Probably not. But it's good enough that you will definitely come here once a month! Also halal, which is a huge bonus for all the Muslim folks out there.

Everything here touches gluten so I couldn't give it full stars but the vibe is fun! Look carefully at the walls and you'll find some iconic Indianapolis features. The fries are seasoned well - although I'm pretty sure they are fried in the same batter as the chicken (this is not confirmed by Dave's - just my assumption here) so venture at your own risk if you are gluten sensitive. You knew I had to hit the hottest spot in indy I got the #3 which was a tender and slider with fries. For me I think I prefer the slider because of the slaw they give with it is so nice, but if you wanna go simple can't go wrong with a tender. I got them hot and it definitely had a good kick to it, but wasn't unbearable or anything and still had great flavor. My pro tip is to add some honey to the slider though because I think it adds an exquisite flavor to it! Oh bonus points for being halal!

The war for best chicken in Indy just got a new serious contender. Dave's hot chicken is high quality food that brings the heat if you want it. The tender was plump and moist and the medium heat I got on it was enough to give a nice burn, but not overwhelming my mouth. The sandwich came with pickles, slaw and cheese. Sandwich was excellent and i strongly recommend getting cheese on it. The Dave's sauce also adds a cooling element to the chicken. This place is definitely cool! When we arrive I was surprised to see a line out the door even with it being open a few weeks. But, that did not bother us and the lined moved quickly. They have the option of your hot chicken as strips or small sandwiches. When ordering you can pick from 6-7 spices from no spice to something very hot.
