So its been a year since I have been back to DHC and now there is competition. This trip was part of our comparison tour. We tried Houston Hot Chicken so naturally we had to go back to Daves for comparison. I ordered the singe slider meal, medium heat and a side of cauliflower bites. I had high hopes for the cauliflower but I think they rely on the seasoning to be the coating as well. The result is an overpowering chili powder based crust with a super mushy inside. It was quick and damn good. We got got carry out. The chicken was tender and not all breading.
Service is attentive and kind! We ordered the new item on the menu (mini sliders). You can get 20 sliders for $40. It's a great item for a party. They only had 16 buns and replaced the missing 4 with two regular sized sandwich. There's plenty of seating. Love the consistency of Dave's!

Food was good, staff were friendly. Ordered and received in about 5 minutes. You don't have to get spicy chicken for those wondering. There is not spicy options. Two sliders with fries was enough for dinner and leftovers for lunch.

I stopped in for lunch and had a chicken sandwich (Hot), fries, and a Cinnamon Toast Crunch shake. There were two spice levels higher than what I ordered but I don't think I would want to go higher. Excellent flavor and large piece of chicken. The fries were also very good. I wasn't sure how hot the sandwich would be so I ordered the shake to cool off if I needed it. Food was fresh, sandwich had a HUGE piece of chicken and the Mac was so cheesy and fresh. The food came out fast, the atmosphere was cute and clean and they had an outside patio where you can eat and watch all the nice cars go past.
