As a super fan of the YouTube show Hot Ones, not to mention hot chicken sandwiches, I had long awaited the day I would sink my teeth into Dave’s legendary Hot Chicken. While on vacation in San Luis Obispo, we finally did just that. It was amazing so worth while!! Had the 2 Dave's #1 medium heat it was so filling I was only able to down 1 strip. Brought the rest home. Beautiful paintings and everyone was super nice I loved the atmosphere.
Service (Elizabeth & team) were super friendly and efficient. The kale slaw was good and they were able to sub that instead of french fries. Unfortunately, the chicken was greasy and not super crispy. The back dining room with the stained glass is more private and quieter than the tables up by the front windows.
Dave’s is always peak and this location is no exception. But this location has the new boneless wings and I tried the buffalo flavor. Perfect spice level, great ranch, not too soggy, and huge portion for the price. Doesn’t top their sandwiches but a great menu addition nonetheless. Some of the best boneless wings around too. Hope they come to more locations!
I came to Daves Hot Chicken for the first time with my family. I was nicely greeted by the staff and specifically Andres was the one who took our order. He was very knowledgeable, nice, quick and friendly. He provided an amazing first time experience for me and my family. The food was delicious and the chicken was hot, crispy, JUICY with lots of flavor. Thank you to Andres and the amazing staff there. We look forward to coming back again soon.
