The chicken was cooked well and the spices were nice but the coating was dry and grainy. I also found the price for a meal plus a drink quite high.

came in yesterday with my husband and and daughter me and my husband each got the 2 slider meal and my daughter the tender and slider we waited i want to say for 40 minutes and the where busy so that's okay i get it i wasn't upset but my food was not good at all it was cold tasted old and i ordered mine without kale slaw bc i just hate kale and everyone's had kale on it which again isn't a huge deal but the food was just not good i also don't think we got the right heat levels all tasted the same and my daughter got mild and... read more
Have been to Dave's several time and was usually very good. Today, not so much. ordered No. 1 and when at window the very first thing they did was to shove their pad into my face asking how much of a tip I will leave starting at 15%. Had not even received my food yet! Anyway, when I check out the food is not hot. Well.... they got the 'hot' right. Kinda spendy $4.5-$5 a strip. I ordered mild and didn't taste any heat, but I did taste 1) Sugar 2) Salt. I ordered the $12.99 deal, doesn't come with a drink... Nice folks, service for sure, but not going back.

I decided to try Dave's Hot Chicken, home and corporate based out of LA California. It's unbelievably expensive for just two half breasts coated with Cayenne pepper powder which can't eat all at once( need milk)! Not worth $13.00 just for just two half's of a chicken breast! Rip Off! Popeyes

I am lazy and DoorDash from Dave's on Sandy a couple times a week. For the past month or so, there has been zero consistency on the tender sizes, even within the same order. Sunday we got one gigantic tender and one broken off looking chunk when two people each order a tender-no fun to open that one up and work out who gets what. Today, ordered two tenders and received two pieces on bread that together wouldn't make up a single typical tender. Lame.

Chicken tenders 6 ways . But with thigh meat . That's why it's so juicy . My order of two tenders , fries , and a slice of bread was spendy . The ghetto art work inside is kinda a turn off. To me , there is better chicken elsewhere in PDX.
