TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

Tried Dave's at the suggestion of friends who said it was better than another favorites local chicken spot. My son had the slider/chicken tender combo #3 and I just had a single slider. You can get it with or without cheese so we went with cheese at the suggestion of the cashier. We ordered it medium spice and it was perfect. Not scorching by any means but a good heat if you like spicy. The fries have a Cajun seasoning and were a nice change. I like spicy food and the hot level was certainly hot. Chicken was cooked very well! Nice spot to sit outside and enjoy a delicious lunch.

Update. I was able to contact corporate headquarters for Daves and received a favorable response. Not only was my account fixed and refunded, i was provided with a free combo and the assurance the online ordering will be updated to require confirmation of ccv code for all purchases which will prevent people from using your saved card for payments on the app. Im still not happy about the service from the manager at the new caney texas store ( who failed to identify him self when asked after he told me he seen the guy who used... read more
