Overall this place was pretty good in terms of flavor and it was A LOT of food. I do think it was on the pricier side ($14 for a combo that doesn't include a drink) but would go back if i was in the mood for a quick bite. I got level 'hot' on all my chicken and personally i didn't think it was hot at all. It was slightly spicy but if you're looking for heat it was far from it in my opinion. The tenders were slight spicier than the sandwich as well.

Dave's chicken has tasted good every time we have gone hence the three stars.However the wait is not worth the food. After waiting for 45 minutes and starting to hear other customers ask management why they were waiting for over an hour we asked for a refund and decided to leave. As for service, when a customer approached the manager he stated he would, "go back there and see how he could motive the team". Even though there was easily over 10+ orders that had been waiting for over an hour.

It was OK. I ordered a "hot" slider which the man said was equivalent to a fresh jalapeño. It wasn't close. The kale salad was a sad tasteless cabbage salad w a little kale. The quality of the fried chicken was good. The Dave's Sauce they charge for extra was nothing special. The restaurant itself was nice. No drive up window. U must go inside. I probably wud not return.

Ok the last thing we needed was another chicken place. But it's legit. Between Oh My Chicken at the Mall and Dave's Hot Chicken I don't know if better fried chicken. Yes, it takes awhile to get your food but that's because it is fresh. The vibe is even fun. Side note.. honey on the chicken!! Do it! It's hot chicken.. The mild is hotter than spicey Chick-fil-A. You can also get each finger or slider with a different heat level!

They get the orders wrong and have little to no training. I've gone to Dave's in LA and it's way better. I appreciate getting the order fixed but the staff needs more training.

Went there today for lunch around 145pm and there was no line at all and plenty of seats inside. I got the #3 hot, shoulda went for the extra hot because the hot wasn't hot at all. Chicken was hot, fresh, crispy and perfectly seasoned and so was the fries and unlike Raising Cane's you can ask for extra Dave's sauce with no additional charge and don't forget the honey to drizzle over the chicken. I will definitely coming back. Btw, for only a $1 more skip the #3 and just order the #2 that has 2 sliders.

Ordered ahead for takeout. Was ready before we got there. I will say, this is not comparable to the glory days of Pop's Hot Chicken food truck - but it is the best hot chicken sandwich Tucson's currently got. The chicken is juicy and crispy, the slaw is OK, pickles are good, and they give you extra sauce. It was $17 for two sliders (no drink, 20% tip). Eating these like a hotdog is the best way to do it, because of how the chicken is shaped, but you don't get everything each bite. I think I could go up to extra hot next time... read more

I honestly don't get the hype. My son and I tried this place today, waiting in line for about 15 minutes to order. Our order came out in about 10 minutes which was pretty good given how busy it was. The chicken was fairly tasty, but pretty greasy. I ordered a Kale Coleslaw for a side for $3.49 and got a half filled container (see pic). The fries were good. We'll probably come back, but I wasn't overly impressed. For spending $30 for 2 I expected more.
