A flavor I have not tasted before. The wait time was over 30 minutes from an online order with a line outside. When I took a bite of my food, I understood why. My husband was very impressed with the food. He got mild and hot with hot being too hot for him. He added honey to it and that helped. We will visit again soon.

I ordered the #4, a chicken sandwich with fries, a drink, and a extra side of the Mac and cheese. I really appreciate that they have different levels of spicy because I love a spicy chicken sandwich and so many places claim theirs is spicy when it isn't. I got mine "hot" and it had a nice kick but I'll probably go "extra hot" next time. The slaw is crunchy and adds a nice balance to the spice. There was a line out the door at 2pm on a Monday! That's a good sign if you ask me. Regardless of a line, they were very efficient. The tenders were perfectly crispy on the outside and moist and tender on the inside. I ordered medium heat level, they have a hint of sweetness to them. They were delicious!! The heat level was perfect for me. The fries are also crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The food is delicious . I've been there twice since they opened. My only complaint is how long it takes to get your food. Over an hour during both visits.

Dave's Hot Chicken was pretty good, though with all of the attention they've been getting I think my expectations were too high! I ordered the #1 which was two tenders with fries, it felt a little pricey at over $13 after tax for a meal that came with a very small portion of fries and no drink. You can select your spice level which includes no spice, lite mild, mild, medium, hot, extra hot, and reaper (this last one you have to sign a waver for). The chicken was perfect. My son had the hot chicken and he loved it so much and he doesn't love anything. I had the no spice and it was fabulous the best chicken in Tucson. Yes, it was on a slider, but the chicken was twice as big as the tiny slider bun and my husband had the mild and it was fabulous too. I have nothing bad to say I mean the wait was an hour but it's understandable. It was a great experience. I liked my meal. I'm not sure if it was "one hour wait good" but it was good nonetheless. Very crowded which explains the wait. Hoping to try this place after the "newness" wears off.
