TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

Happy that I no longer have to drive to union city for Dave's. The line was longer when it first opened but it's pretty reasonable now. You can also order ahead of time for pick up. I love their fried chicken sandwich. The chicken is crunchy, juicy, and goes well with the Dave's sauce. I like to drizzle honey on a few bites here and there for a sweet and salty taste. For me, it's not my thing. Just personal preference, because everyone around us seemed to be enjoying themselves. Be prepared though, because for some reason, this chain attracts mostly young kids (think high school/early college). Equals high energy high noise and a lot of "bro" this "bro" that. I warned you. I took advantage of their free slider day. It was crunchy on the outside and moist on the inside. The sauce packet that was included was very flavorful, not sure if it had cheese. Nice crunchy lettuce/red cabbage and bun. A good sized portion for the retail price! It reminded me of what Starbird in Foster City used to be.
We ordered the Dave's #2. The 2 sliders with fries. Let's start with the fries. CRINKLE CUT FRIES THAT ARENT SOGGY OR BURNT?!? This place always hits the spot! I usually share a two slider meal that comes with a side of fries. One slider fills me up, so it's a great value for what you get. I usually get the medium spice level which isn't too spicy. I also love to dip my fries in the Dave's sauce. Lately I have been monitoring my red meat intake so I'm limited to chicken and fish so I have been trying different chicken dishes and restaurants serving chicken. So Dave's popped up. Love this chicken. I've been for lunch three times in two months. The staff are always nice and pleasant. Not many options on the menu, but the chicken is the bomb. The medium sauce is pretty hot already, just a warning. I love the sauces and fries too. Great addition to east Dublin!
Hell yes!! I was so excited to see there was a Dave's Hot Chicken in Dublin. I had it in LA before and loved it and this location didn't disappoint! I got the #4 medium heat , add cheese, sub with Mac, and man, solid chicken sandwich. The daves sauce with it tasted fire and if you add honey to it, it's a freaking game changer.
