TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

I keep hearing all of the hype about Dave's Hot Chicken and had to try it for myself. First off the portions are huge. One slider or one chicken tender with the bread is all you need. The fries were crispy and had a seasoning on them and the Dave's sauce complements the chicken really well. I also got the strawberry shake which helps with the heat. I love the interior of the store. The food was really great. I love the chicken tenders. The mild is too spicy for my 8 year old kid. So if you have little ones like mine, order a spice level down or pick the original. The service was great, I also got the Mac and cheese, my kids love that too. The milkshake was surprisingly great, usually we order the vanilla with Oreo but the combination of Oreo and chocolate milkshake is the best in my opinion. Will definitely be back if we're near one of their restaurants.

Kids like the no-spice strips. The mac n cheese is good, kids like this too and it's not Kraft kind. I like the lite mild, will try medium next time. Fries have a little spice to them but they're good

This place has one of the best chicken burgers. This is more of ToGo place, but definitely worth enjoying their crispy chicken. The chicken portion is so big, so 2 Sliders w/ Fries was a lot. Definitely must go for quick grab for yummy burger / slider.
