Wonderful staff. I was greeted by a staff member changing the trash cans outside. Multiple staff members asked if I was helped while waiting for my order. It feels good when you get multiple people making sure you're taken care of. The music being played was great, over time it would get loud randomly but nonetheless it was a good vibe. Dave's Hot Chicken is located in Minnetonka near Ridgedale Mall. I've heard lots of people talk about long lines. We got there at 1240 on Sunday and food was to us by 1:05 pm. They only let a few people in at a time so if it's busy you'll wait outside until there is room inside to go and order. Once your food is ready they will call your number. This is the talk of the town. The food is good, but a bit pricy and there's a long wait to get food if it's on a Friday night.

After hearing about the long lines and hype about this place I had to try it. My wife and I both really like fried chicken. This did not live up to our expectations. We were told even the mild is super spicy, but we didn't feel like it was. We both thought there was too much batter used. And there wasn't a very flavorful taste to the chicken. I have eaten hot chicken before so decided to try this. To me it was just okay. Nothing special and overpriced but everything these days is overpriced. The Hot had decent heat.

My boys and their friends have been begging me to take them to Daves Hot Chicken so we finally made the trek over there this week and I'm glad we did! We ordered the mild, medium and hot chicken. The mild chicken had the most flavorful breading I've ever eaten on chicken. It was absolutely amazing. Crispy and full of flavor on the outside, soft and juicy on the inside.
