I wasn't too familiar with this franchise and always passed by it with so many other food options available. After trying my first Dave's in Pinole, this was my 2nd and had the same experience: consistent. This one is in El Cerrito Plaza Shopping Center by the BART station. I ordered Dave's # 2: Two sliders with fries and comes with pickles ($17.49). I chose the medium with heat options of No Spice, Little Mild, Mild, Medium, Hot, Extra Hot and Reaper. Service was a bit slow when we went. Staff at the front was struggling to get the to go orders organized to go out. It's a decent fast food chicken place in El Cerritos. The staff struggled but the manager tried her best to try to keep the customers happy. The flavor of the chicken sandwich is strong and punchy. The sandwiches came out fresh and juicy with pickles which was nice.

Came in again to try the chicken. While the formula is still gritty for my palette the customer service from manager Pet was unrivaled. She saw my review and went above and beyond in care.

I wanted to like this chicken more since I am obsessed with all things spicy-however the breading is a bit...powdery and it prevents me from giving a higher amount of stars.

Overall my experience was pretty good !The people at the front counter saw me standing there , and didn't take any initiative wanting to take my order , but I'm there for the food .It took the guy like 15 min to acknowledge me and no one else was there ordering .Lame !!!! Pretty decent chicken sandwiches for fast food or slightly above fast food. The thing I like about them is they give you a big piece of chicken in their sandwiches so that makes them a cut above most other places that have similar sandwiches. I also like that you can choose from several different levels of spiciness.

A Good Chicken place. El Cerrito Plaza has two chicken places but Dave's Hot Chicken is the place to dine at. Terrific sandwiches with great spices. I thought eating at Wingstop was the place to eat at but when i tried out Dave's Hot Chicken I was amazed how good the sandwich was. I do like how the inside of Dave's Hot Chicken is. You can dine outside the place but I prefer to eat inside.

Food and service were fantastic! Be careful ordering hot as it's soooo hot! The staff is really nice and they graciously remade a medium for us. So tasty and crispy - can't wait to return !!!
