I've been hearing a lot of good things about Dave's Hot Chicken and was honestly hesitant to try it because of all the hype. Well, it's exactly what I thought...just ok. I mean, not a large selection on the menu and 7 seasonings/heats to select from when you order. I like spicy but was told the hot was too spicy so I went with medium and mild on my sliders. So glad to see a Dave's in Edmond. Mostly because I don't have to deal with the downtown parking. It's still the same great taste, staff, and decor. The only thing I wish this location had is a covered patio. I'm not sure if the nuggets are a new menu item but they are so incredibly delicious. Make sure to snag those if you haven't tried them!

For Oklahoma hot chicken, this place is great. I've traveled a bit and had hot chicken in other parts of the country that I preferred over DHC, but this place hits the spot. I'd say the slider is much more akin to a sandwich than a slider. When I think slider, I usually have 2-3 and it's just the right amount. These "sliders" are huge and from now on, I'll just be getting one and maybe a tender if I'm super hungry. The meal needs acid to best complement the spice. I like to order extra pickles. On our way back from Texas, we stopped in to see what all the rave was about. Here is our experience: Location: 9/10 D.H.C is located in what seemed like a suburb in OK, right off the highway. I thought it was a cool spot with ample parking, and it seems like a newer location. Customer Service 8.5/10 We ate in and it is mainly counter service. They give you a number after you order. Really good. With the Chicken Wars going on this is a good alternative to the usual. Better and nicer than most chicken restaurants. Better than the chicken shacks chicken but not the ambiance. Worth checking out.
