TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

Holy hot chicken mama. So my husband is a hot chicken aficionado and we've been to a bunch of places like this and I always leave just not really getting "it" when it comes to the whole hot chicken movement. Eating overly salty, overly spicy fried chicken is just meh to me and I usually end up feeling like crap after eating stuff like this anyway so it's never really worth it to me. Not a bad little joint for some hot chicken, and get this, it isn't a million bucks and you get a surprising amount of food! I got the mild tenders and honestly mild is a little bit of a stretch, it was not very spicy at all, but it was delicious and perfectly cooked! Their Mac and cheese is also pretty decent, didn't need salt, which is rare. This is a Fast food+ type of place, but on a fast food budget which was a pleasant surprise. The inside was nice and clean and the staff was actually friendly too which is also rare. ... read more

Love Dave's Hot Cicken the food here is delicious !!!! So glad they added one in Edmond finally. Chicken is always 10/10 and I love that the spice on it is a dry rub so it doesn't get soggy ! The fries and good as well. I'm not a fan of coleslaw but their kale slaw is so so so good especially on the sandwiches. Some of the best chicken I've ever had! If you like Canes this is the most similar thing I would compare it to but a much more elevated version! *Also this location is now on Doordash and Uber eats !!!!*

First time eating Dave's Hot Chicken. I ordered it and got it to go. My boyfriend and I don't usually order chicken as we eat a lot at home. But I ordered it for my mom and this looked liked something I wanted to try. VARY pleasantly surprised. My boyfriend and I ordered the #4, medium, and the amount of flavor and seasoning on the chicken blew us away! So much flavor on chicken which can sometimes be bland and dry.
