TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

We visited Dave’s Hot Chicken on a cold day and were pleasantly surprised by the warm welcome we received. There were no other customers at the time, so we were served quickly and efficiently. The staff was incredibly friendly, especially the person who took my order—she was very helpful in guiding us to the right portions for our kids. This is my 3rd visit to a Dave’s Hot Chicken and not been disappointed. The staff are incredible and the food is amazing! The entrance to the store is barrier free and the entire restaurant appears to be wheelchair accessible. This store does not have a drive thru. It’s walk-in only. I did not get to see the bathrooms to comment on its accessibility. I hope they build more Dave’s in center city.
Limited menu but very good. The fries are seasoned to perfection and the chicken sliders were excellent. There mayonnaise seasoned sauce is a must try.
After all of the hype surrounding Dave’s hot chicken, I finally made the drive over to try it. I was absolutely blown away by how amazing this chicken was. This was some of the best hot chicken I’ve ever tasted, and I have been to many hot chicken restaurants in Nashville. I ordered the sliders meal, the tenders meal, the mac and cheese, and a few more tenders by themselves. I stopped there yesterday after work to see what all the hype is about, The service is A+ and the chicken is amazing. I ordered the two chicken sliders meal at the Reaper Heat level (I will not do that next time cause I should’ve listened to the employees stating I should reconsider) I also ordered the chicken bites in the medium heat level which were perfect.
