TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

The chicken here is definitely amazing. My first time here and it didn't disappoint, the chicken is flavorful and not dried out. The seasoning on their normal fries is delicious as well. I got the combo that had the slider, tender, and fries so I could try everything. My problem is the service. I went at lunchtime and it was not busy. The food was good something new , and it was my first time ordering from Dave’s which my son recommended . The girl at the front cashier was very friendly and generous 5 ⭐️ to her . The seating area inside was very small and out seating area was ok . The new meal on the menu was recommended by the front girl and was the best 😋thank you . The portion for the meals are a bit less imo and would be great if they could add some more chicken on the new item like 8 pcs instead of 6 and the tenders add a piece more instead of 2 .... read more
It’s a few times me and my husband ate on this location and the one in Pacific Beach and also the location in Kearny Mesa. The only thing they need to back a little bit on is the salt on the fries. They were really salty but other than that, we enjoyed it really good. We keep on going back cause it’s so good.
My sister and I are taking a trip to San Diego and ate here. When we picked up our order, the person that gave us our food was very sweet and asked if we wanted extra sauce. Also, the atmosphere was very clean, including the bathroom as well. It was also so yummy that I will be coming back again with my sister because the food was well seasoned and the food was fresh, and their sauce was very delicious with sandwiches.
Love this place! The fact that it's so close and the customer service is pretty awesome. Makes everything outstanding. I am super excited that I ordered online. They always have a line inside and by the time I got there it was a 40-minute wait for anybody walking in or just making a phone order. At that moment. It's busy place.
