TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

8.31.24 - Nice new, clean, and great food. A bit costly ($60+ after taxes), but really delicious, moist chicken tenders, crispy seasoned crinkle fries are addictive. This has to be a once in a while treat. Honestly Carl's Jr/ Hardee's has the best tenders and fries and no where near as expensive as Dave's. we Ordered a box of ten tenders with a box of fries ... lasted my family two days. OMG, this place is THE BEST! I loved to go to Cane's, but I never imagined that there would be a chicken sandwich place that would beat Cane's. Every bite of chicken sandwich, there's a lot of taste going on in my mouth. Pricey, but worth it!
Very nice dining room and atmosphere. The staff is very nice and helpful. It's 102° in Cat City at 11am, but nice and cool inside Dave's. The menu has sliders, tenders, and lots of sides from fries, slaw, and mac & cheese. I got a combo with a slider, a tender, and fries. Extra pickles. The fries were crispy, and well seasoned. Every time I come here, the weight is about 20 minutes. It's definitely not fast food timing. The food is great, if you're in to hot, spicy fried chicken. I am still unsure what the soggy bread is for at the bottom. It's also pretty expensive for fried chicken. For 3 tenders and fries it came out to almost $30. The best part is the honey. Don't forget to get extra, honey.
