TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

The place is really busy & but line does move fast!! They do give you pager device to let you know when your food is ready!!! The atmosphere is upbeat and nice! I got Daves 1 combo with two tenders & also Daves Sliders.They do have spice levels so watch out for your spice tolerance.

We have been looking forward to this opening. The tenders are huge and you can order them seasoned so many ways. This is not fast food, this is fast service done right! The fries are probably the best that I have had in a long time and the sauces they offer are delicious. They will corner the market for tenders and chicken sandwiches, the only thing Rocky will beat them on is having the choice of other chicken parts, but don't change a thing. Also great milkshakes.
I saw that Dave's Hot Chicken was opened up on Woodruff the other day near Whattaburger and City BBQ. I had not been on Woodruff in a long while so I was pleasantly surprised to see the development. I went tonight to get Dave's, and the experience wasn't bad! From the door to the counter, the line moved in about 3-4 minutes, which was very fast given the 8 people in front of me. I've never seen such bad false advertisement. I ordered hot chicken and my chicken tasted hotter than it should've. I had to drink 4 gallons of milk to get the horrid flavor out my mouth. The fries are really good though! The service is amazing the employees are really kind.

The food was fresh and delicious. I like the option to dine outside while enjoy the sunlight The service is a little slow due to it being a new restaurant so it's to be expected. Best thing to do is order online and pick it up at the window.
YUMMM!!! So excited it's finally open! Was nervous about going at noon, but the employees were handling the line and crowd well. Chicken sliders are a decent size for the price, chicken tenders are big. I thought 'hot' was going to be too much, but I think I can go 'extra hot' next time. Will definitely be back!
I took one for the team today and tried Dave's Hot Chicken on Woodruff Rd. There was a line outside the door, but the weather was pleasant, so we waited it out. The line moved at a reasonable pace. Inside and above the counter is a menu. The specialty is chicken and that's the only options you'll have. It's a matter of how much Chicken and how hot. We have been waiting for a casual hot chicken place to open in Greenville and I'm so glad it was Dave's Hot Chicken! I've had Dave's in California before, so I was excited to have one close by.
