I've been wanting to try Dave's Hot Chicken for a while now and today I finally got the chance. The food was decent not great but decent and based on just the food I probably would have given them three stars but based on the customer service experience I had it dropped it down to two stars. Let me explain. I walked in and stood back for a minute to look at the menu and the girl at the register was unwrapping coins into the register so no rush. Just not at all good. It is loud and hard to hear when your number is called. I had a plain tender - I know, not the point of a hot chicken place - but it was weird with zero taste at all. There were dark spots on it that made me think there were feathers or it was a bone in wing. My son got hot and extra hot and while they were as expected- hot - even he was disappointed in the flavor. The sauce it comes with was "mid" (his teenage words).
