What a ripoff of a place. 3 rolls, an appetizer, and a drink later it was $120. Best thing about all of this is Rob the greaseall from Queens(thats what he called himself after he said the manager 'lies like a rug') asked me to increase his tip because the tips are aggregated all together and split with the hibachi chefs. The sushi was the second worst I ever had. Hard to beat that gas station sushi in Phoenix that one time :) Avoid at all costs, unless someone else is paying. Then wear your worst clothes you have. Unfortunately Desaki has gone down hill in the past five years. The Hibachi is terrible. Bland, and they constantly squeeze lemon and lime on it. My family and I were so disappointed that we will never go back there again. No salad, but they give you edamame. Oh boy. That used to be an appetizer. No sauces to go with your food. The price they charge per plate is outrageous for the crappy food. If you want excellent Hibachi than Ichiban is the place to go.

The food and service has gone down in the last few years. The cook barely puts on a show. The food lack flavor and was rushed, and not cooked thoroughly. They removed the desserts from the menu. A lot of people goes to the restaurant to celebrate birthdays and they don’t even offer cake, ice cream or coffee. Years back they used to offer a cake for people celebrating birthdays. This restaurant is very expensive for the service and food they are currently serving.....
