When you come to the Pocono Mountains, an overwhelming amount of billboards invite you to desaki Ichiban, but PLEASE avoid this place if you don’t want to feel unwelcome and receive poor service. They rush you out. Start cleaning tables before we even finished eating. No to go cups for sauces. And only had small to go containers. Filled what they could and where gonna throw out the rest of my food I had to raise my voice and tell the guys to use another container. Cost me 150 dollars for 2 adults and 1 child. Will never go back
We went in for our anniversary since we are up for the week from right outside of Philadelphia. We have similar places near us and we love them. Desaki was gross. The chef put on a good show but he should be doing stand up instead of being a hibachi chef. I get my filet medium rare everywhere I go and my filet wasnt cooked at all, I had to have him put it back on the grill twice and after the second time it was ruined and totally over cooked. Check prices before u go..$10 share we were told. Initially hassled for 3 appetizer for dinner out of nine not enough for Hibachi Table and wanted us to order another full dinner. Of course I objected and was ready to walk. One order was wrong although tried to eat it guest couldn't so asked for what it was suppose to be boot they didn't take away and attempted to charge for both saying it was eaten... finally negotiated to 50% off. Service was great but the food was just ok. Way overpriced tourist trap.
Waiter screwed up the order. Waiter rushed through taking orders so I never got my appetizer, wrong meal for myself and another guest at our table and only came by once for drink refills. Seated in the loft which got extremely smoky. To top it off the 18% gratuity is obscene for 2 people...
