Get directionsBeware of procedures - I went for a preventative colonoscopy that insurance covered all (like an anual physical) and because she removed a small polyp the diagnostic codes changed to a full surgical procedure, therefore I got billed about $1600 out of pocket. So when they say "if I see a little polyp or something I'll just remove it" means I'll find something so this gets billed and we make more money!!!
Business response:
The problem you encountered is due to the insurance you have and policy of Medicare. It would be unethical to leave a polyp and can only be removed with a polypectomy. The increase in charge is small. The difference is that your insurance made you pay the claim. The amount the practice received was not very different. Your allegation is based on an assumption and a lack of understanding of your insurance coverage
Saw her for severe GI problems that were keeping me from going to work. She said it was probably just IBS and not a big deal. She said " you need to be honest with yourself." She suggested a diet that my nutritionist said was unrealistic and out of date. An appointment was cancelled with no notice. And, when months went by and I was still missing work, she sat with my ADA paperwork on her desk for a week before having her nurse tell me she wouldn't fill it out for no reason and wouldn't call me.
Business response:
What is the qualification of your nutritionist' Did you call and schedule an appointment to discuss the comments from you nutritionist. If you require disability or other paperwork to be completed you need to schedule an appointment to review your request in person. Please review your insurance policy so that you can better understand what is covered by the fees paid by your insurance for care you receive.
One of the worst experiences I've ever had with a Dr.! Rude, condescending, and annoyed to even be bothered with a patient. Her answer was to concentrate on something other than my symptoms. Wish I would've read up on her before I went! No one deserves an experience like that! Now have a GE that listens and is helpful!
Not a warm PERSON at all. The other reviews were right on. Wish i would have read them before spending my money there. I knew there were going to be issues from the beginning but because i trust my primary and was referred here, I went. Listened briefly and then went on to randomness. staff was great initially. When calling for information and solidifying procedure date, there was no follow up from the office. Day of procedure was a joke and her lack of bedside manner stuck out like a sore thumb
This is Dr is incredibly rude and condescending. She walks into the room and with limited data assures me nothing is wrong with me and the symptoms i am experiencing are in my head . When i brought up throat burn and voice hoarseness she says i should talk to an ENT . Do NOT recommend this Dr - i totally agree with the other reviews! Exercise caution and do not go to this Dr.
Ever since this is now Atlanta Gasto, my experience has been horrible. Dr Raina added to the horrible experience. As my previous Doctor retired, Dr Raina questioned my assessment of how I felt, questioned my regimine and proceeded to tell me to visit the Mayo Clinic. Wouldnt provide a referral, but told me just to visit their web page. News flash, Mayo doesn't see anyone who isn't referred. Don't waste your time here. If you're not a simple patient, Dr Raina will kick you out like she did me.
Saw Dr Raina for spitting up blood, referred by my ENT. She said nothing wrong with me, not GI related. Told me I needed to see a psychiatrist and lose weight. WTH
Probably the rudest, least caring doctor I have ever seen. She walked in the room and said what do you want? I told her my symptoms and how I have been in constant pain and she said nothing was wrong and I need to change my perspective. She was so rude that I burst out crying and then she had the nerve to ask me if I saw a counselor. She asked me what do you want me to do refill your prescription or what. I was so shocked and upset i walked out of the office sobbing. DISGUSTED
