No problems using this service. Billing has been flawless using the Autopay feature and I did receive a renewal notification via Email and when I logged into my account nearly 6 weeks before expiration. It's pretty straight forward and easy to use, love the fixed rates.
I am very pleased with Discount Power. My bill has been almost cut into half. I recommend them to everyone and my 88 yr old parents, who find change hard. They just switched for the 1st time this year and are very pleased with their bill and customer service, as am I!!!

This is the worst company I have ever dealt with. They rip you off. We mail all our monthly payments together (gas, cable, electric etc) so we can always guess if one goes through ok we are good, the mail system isn’t always the best so we send multiple bills together. Every time this company doesn’t get our bill so we are always charge a $10 late fee on the next bill. They are a scam. The check always seems to go through the day after the late fee date… huh. I have been a customer with Frontier Utilities for the past year and my monthly electricity cost consistenly ranged between $60-80 per month. When I switched to Discount Power I locked in a lower rate than Frontier however every month has been above $90 ranging from $90 - $180 per month. Discount Power has a nasty habit of charging a $20 disconnection fee if you are 1 day late. I paid my January bill 3 days late and was charged a $20 disconnect fee... Dicount power bought out my contract. I pay my bills through my banks bill pay. First 3 months of payments went through no problem. The fourth payment went through and was debit from my bank account but discount power says they cant find it. My bank emailed them confirmation the payment was made and transaction went through. Discount power did not respond back to me and when i called they just said they didn't have a payment and would shut off my power. As others have mentioned, this company buys out other providers' contracts and then up the rate and hit you with late fees with any underhanded tactics they know. In my case, DiscountPower cancelled my credit card autopayment setup for no reason (the credit card successfully paid every single prior transaction I've had with DiscountPower) and then charged me with late fees and disconnect fees. This is honestly the worst company I've ever dealt with. Sometime in early August I received a notice from my old provider (3-year contract) that they sold my contract to Discount Power. In the letter it said that I didn't need to do anything, my plan would stay the same, and they would transition the account. On October 29th, I received a letter stating that I had until October 29th to pay my bill or I would be disconnected.
