Discount Power is charging a different TDU delivery fee then is in my 12 month contract. They are skimming $.013 per kWH delivered. This small infraction will cost the average customer $300 per year and almost no one will notice. Very dishonest company. I’m turning in the recorded conversation to the AG of Texas to look into their practice.

This company is horrible! Never use them, also known as US Retailers LLC. They bought our old power company that was charging us 0.14 per KW. After acquiring my previous provider, they charged 0.21 per KW and did not send us a bill for two months. The bill came in with late fees, for a bill that never came for the previous month. My normally bill is around 200, with this switch it was now over $400 for the past two months! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!! I would not even give this company a full star, i would rate it -5 stars.

We had service installed on 9-29 They set up service but to the wrong address even after I told them it was incorrect. Today they turned off the power to the correct address but left the old active Spent a couple of hours in the chat room and explaining the issue and final they said it would be reconnected. That was three hours ago. Now it’s dark and our dimentia mother is walking into walls. Worse yet there is no way to get a hold of them after hours. No calling no chating nothing They are liars and incompetent people

Our rate plan with Discount Power was due to expire at the first of August so signed up for a new plan with them on 7/22 - well ahead of the old plan “expiration” date. They did not change the rate plan and continued to charge the higher rate of the previous plan for the entire billing cycle. According to customer service the new rate plan will not go into effect until after this last billing cycle - even though they claimed the old plan “expired” at the beginning of August. They have competitive rates and service is good. The customer service could be better. I'm deployed, I have two accounts and when my service provider merged with my this provider, my accounts separated and they act as if they had no knowledge. I called and emailed various times with concern so I wouldn't face cancellation. Today I checked my bill online and the only reason I found out about the other account is because they finally added it to my bill for cancellation payment. Thank y'all so much. I was transferred to Discount Power TX when my original REP left the market. That transition was painless as they honored my original contract terms. As my contract expiration approached, I called Discount Power TX to ask if they had any better fixed rate plans than those posted to their Web site. I was quoted a slightly better rate. We have been with this company for 6 years. My husband paid our bill 2 days early, and they double charged our debit card $164. My husband called them and they told him it would be credited back within 72 hours. 72 hours came and went and when my husband called them back, they said, "oh, we just credited it to your next months bill." WHICH WASNT EVEN THAT AMOUNT! Refused to send us our money for THEIR mistake! LIARS!!! BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!!!!!

I was a Discount Power fixed price customer for 24 month . After the term Discount Power I was rolled to a variable rate customer and Discount keep it a reasonable variable rate. Then it raised my variable rate to $0.15/kw. This is when they were offer 12 fixed price rates at sub $0.10/kw and they bore no price risk a variable customer. In 2019 I signed up to Windrose Energy for a 16 month term ; absolutely NO issues with Windrose - received emails, monthly billing autopay all worked great. So well, I took my eye completely off the ball. Belatedly in late Aug 2020 I realized my 16 month terms had passed, so used PowerToChoose to switch Electricity Provider.
