A practitioner from DMHC prescribed a medication for my mother that is contraindicated for elderly patients and that is known to cause Parkinsonism. My mother is 90 and has Parkinson’s syndrome. It worsened her symptoms dramatically, and, I believe, threatened her life. Fortunately her neurologist identified the horrendous error in time to prevent permanent damage. Why does my daughter have to take so much of her time getting my prescriptions refilled. Your provider should do a better job of ordering them before they run totally out. I use Humana Mail Order Pharmacy to help me save money but they are all the time having to send refill requests to DMHC delaying my medicine from getting to Express Care Pharmacy for repackaging and then I get charged more money for the pills they have to make up until mine come.
