About Dogwood Canyon Nature Park "Promote and protect the natural environment of the canyon’s wildlife and plant life." Aside from a few amenities to make Dogwood Canyon Nature Park more accessible to our guests, the rugged landscape has been left untouched and, with just a little imagination, you can travel back to a time when European settlers first entered the area or, even further, to explore the mark that Native Americans left on these Missouri hills and hollows. The first parcels of the property were acquired in 199... read more

Lady at the entrance was rude and grouchy! Left!
I give this place 2 stars on a 5 star scale because it’s simply and overpriced man made nature trail. After paying $10.00 to get in you are only allowed to go through the mill and restaurant then you need to purchase a wristband for one of the activity’s offered. For my wife and I to enter and rent a bike it cost us $60.00. And we didn’t even want to eat lunch their due to other reviews about the food. Overall go to a state park, it’s free and better views.
My family and I went on 7/25/2018. I was told 3 times that we could walk back from our tour at any given point once outside the animal park area. Once was when I called to make reservations. 2nd was when I arrived at the gate of admission and then 3rd when I went inside to pick up tram tickets. Each time I asked if I would have to pay admission again if we did the tram and went back to take more pictures. Each time I was told no just ask the tram driver to let you off to walk back and we won't have to. On our way back I ask... read more
First of all it was really pricey for 2 of us and our two dogs it was 48$ that was with military discount! They tell you to get water but never tell you that there are no vending machines through the park! There is a store when you enter and then a vending machine 2 miles in but it only takes cash and nowadays no one carries cash! I over heard a family asking a park employee driving around on a gator if they could get some water for her granddaughter because they had ran out and he said i don’t know what to tell you. Also wi... read more
Highly over priced to just walk around and see sights. $10 for an adult just to get access to the top part of the grounds and another $10 just to walk around. Johnny Morris definitely lines his pockets with not only this “attraction” but his other ones as well. I for sure will not be going back or recommending this to anyone.
just be prepared to pay...$10 to get in and another $10 to access the walking trail plus tax of course...but it is a nonprofit and all the money goes into taking care of the place. it was money well spent.
