About Dogwood Canyon Nature Park "Promote and protect the natural environment of the canyon’s wildlife and plant life." Aside from a few amenities to make Dogwood Canyon Nature Park more accessible to our guests, the rugged landscape has been left untouched and, with just a little imagination, you can travel back to a time when European settlers first entered the area or, even further, to explore the mark that Native Americans left on these Missouri hills and hollows. The first parcels of the property were acquired in 199... read more

Very costly and brochure was very misleading as to actual prices. For a family of 4 we paid $35 to see the treehouse and walk through the mill. We misunderstood when the entry lady told us the park was ours that we could do the walking tour. The self guided is another $35 and about 6.4 miles. If you have lots of money I'm certain the scenery would be great but we were thinking it would be family friendly and cheap way to get out and enjoy nature through the park. Needless to say we didn't take the self guided tour and left t... read more
I visited the park today with my wife and kids. It is a shame that someone would consider this preserving nature. Paving all trails and commercializing everything. On top of the thirty dollars they charged for our admission they wanted another ten dollars per person just to walk around the park.
This is a beautiful place! We went yesterday and had lunch at the restaurant. It was quite busy and took an 1 hour and 40 minutes to get our food. It wouldn’t had been so bad if the server would had checked on us and keep us updated. Our drinks were only refilled once. We even ordered an appetizer that we never saw. I feel paying 10 dollars to get in was not that bad due to the museum and tree house, but having to pay 10 more dollars just to walk in nature seemed a bit much. Overall we had a pleasant time.
This place is normally great. Went today and it is no where near ready to be re opened. Construction fences blocking parts of the river. There is mud and dirt everywhere. Should have atleast replaced the grass before you opened. Not impressed.
Drove 160 miles out of my way and the park was CLOSED for construction!
closed is all i can say! why would a canyon be closed during prime summer months
Biggest rip off in town. They wanted to charge us like $50 for two people just to walk thru the gates, bicycles come with your entrance charge but very rarely have them accessible and there's no discount if they don't have any available. Save your money and just go hiking, there's plenty of beautiful places around here that don't cost an arm and a leg. FYI no local discount, hope it's worth it to these people cuz we work with the public and with a lot of tourist. Anytime someone asks me about this place, I tell them my OPINI... read more
