About Dogwood Canyon Nature Park "Promote and protect the natural environment of the canyon’s wildlife and plant life." Aside from a few amenities to make Dogwood Canyon Nature Park more accessible to our guests, the rugged landscape has been left untouched and, with just a little imagination, you can travel back to a time when European settlers first entered the area or, even further, to explore the mark that Native Americans left on these Missouri hills and hollows. The first parcels of the property were acquired in 199... read more

Normally I would give Dogwood Canyon a 5 star rating. My family and I have been here several times, we have done the tram tour, Segways multiple times, and have rented bikes a few times as well. Yesterday we rode the horses for the first time. We are novice horseback riders but have been on little tours like this before. My horse fell on the trail sending me falling as well. He had stumbled a few times making me wonder if something was wrong with my horse...before the fall. The staff were extremely responsive, traded their h... read more
It is a very beautiful place, however, extremely overpriced! Charging just to get into the facility and then charging just to walk the trails is gouging the public. Whoever set the various charges needs a reality check. The average family of four can't afford Dogwood Canyon.
It was too pricey for what you get to see! And I think the price should include the whole park! Very disappointed.
Captures the nature and beauty that we have forgotten. Great place for young and old. You could spend a whole day with your he family, and even get married there!
Beautiful place but a huge waste of money. They charge to get in.... I understand that but then if you want to walk around it is a additional fee! So insane. They say they have a kids area but it isn't really that kid friendly. There are much better places to go visit that won't rip you off!
They don't tell you on their website site that it costs $20 per person just to walk in this park. They say it is an "open public park" no sir. It is far from what id call "open and public"
I was super excited to take my family here. But they made you pay the the "welcome" check in THEN to pay again.. To actually "walk" the trail. $60+$$ the trail didn't make a circle so when u reached the end. You had to walk all the way back, same scenery. Make sure u bike or pay more so u don't run into this problem. Wasn't worth what I paid for crabby kids in the end.
Just called ahead to check prices, was told it would be $20 each to bring our own bikes and ride on the trails. Glad I called ahead, won't be going. Crazy.
We visited a few weeks ago and the place is gorgeous. It is a little overly manicured for my taste but beautiful. I was not a fan of paying twice - once to get in (which isn't much) and again to access the trail for walking/ biking) - I think you can do a better job explaining this on your site or better yet just charge one price. Additionally once on the trail with our 4 young children there were 15 - 20 trucks that were back and forth on the trails with us. I was disappointed after the money we spent to get in that we had ... read more
