I was under the impression that you could pay to walk around dogwood canyon (not pay admission and then pay again to walk). Would have paid to take the tram tour but there wasn't another one the day we were there. We didn't get to see what we thought we would get to see. And pretty much paid out the nose to just walk around a little bit. I'm not sure we will be back.
We have been there a few times and it's really nice but 22.00 per person to walk the trail on top of amount we were already paying to stay at Big Cedar is ridiculously expensive! Cost 44.00 for both of us and would have cost 70.00 had we road their bicycles! On top of all that, we paid 14.00 per person for a bison burger that not only wasn't good but also overcooked! The food was not to park with the resort! Paying 10.00 pet person to be able to then pay 14.00 for a bad buyer leaves a bad taste ....
We enjoyed the trails with our two labs-but, after our 5 mile trail walk we couldn't even get a drink because the patio had closed and the inside dining room told us we could not be served. We were looking forward to having a drink and watching the waterfall.
I had not been there since they built all the extra stuff so I was shocked we had pay $10 a piece just to get through the buildings and then we had to pay an additional $10 a piece just to walk. I could have cared less about the first part of it. I just wanted to walk. If I hadn't of driven so far I would have left. Sure it's beautiful but not $20 each beautiful. And they really should have separate trails for walkers and bicyclists because they will plow you over on their bikes. We ended up walking in the grass and mud to... read more
Overpriced, long walk for the same scenery over and over. $10 to enter and I can't go anywhere without paying a minimum of another $10 to walk, $15 to rent a bike which are all sold out or $50+ to take a tour, horseback or fish. Go to your local lake or park, way better for the money.
Normally I would give Dogwood Canyon a 5 star rating. My family and I have been here several times, we have done the tram tour, Segways multiple times, and have rented bikes a few times as well. Yesterday we rode the horses for the first time. We are novice horseback riders but have been on little tours like this before. My horse fell on the trail sending me falling as well. He had stumbled a few times making me wonder if something was wrong with my horse...before the fall. The staff were extremely responsive, traded their h... read more
It is a very beautiful place, however, extremely overpriced! Charging just to get into the facility and then charging just to walk the trails is gouging the public. Whoever set the various charges needs a reality check. The average family of four can't afford Dogwood Canyon.
It was too pricey for what you get to see! And I think the price should include the whole park! Very disappointed.
