This was a huge expensive disappointment. At $20 a person just to walk. The trail is totally not worth it. We were a family group and could not afford to even do anything at this park.
Went did not know what to expect went with friends. Senior and can’t walk far. Party of four. We paid then we’re told trolley was sold out for two days. We left, parking $10 (for 10 minutes) then charge still on card for $175.52. Called location they said can’t find without ticket and dispute charge. So we did dispute. Bought tickets at 12:48 pm. Dogwood says used tickets at 4:28 and 4:29 no refund. Someone else used our tickets. So for us to park buy tickets and leave total cost $185.52. Feel ripped off bad.
First off the scenery was beautiful, but the online system and the workers in the restaurant were unhelpful and too busy socializing with other employees. We weren’t the only ones with this issue as another couple asked us for help as we were leaving. We originally booked horse back rides but their system is set up to book the next available date and not the day you select. Not a fan.. everything was very overpriced. To bring your own bike and ride on the cheesy trail was 20$ a person….. the trail is NOTHING a fantastic. If you’d like nice bike trails- NWA greenway thru Bentonville is absolutely free.. and looks the same if not better. Dogwood Canyon is pretty much for wealthy city slickers to come enjoy a bit of half nature/ half man made! The horse ride was cool. But again- everything comes with a big price tag. Came for our anniversary today. Couldn't ride the tram as it was "sold out". But there were empty seats on the ones observed. Too high on tickets just to get in to see very little. So disappointed.
Cost our family of 6 $100 to get into the park. My wife and kids had to jump up on the railing of one of the bridges to avoid being hit by the tram. Driver of tram “truck pulling a trailer” did not even slow down, just waived and kept going. Most trails where shared between the hikers, bikes, and trams.
the scenery and park staff are amazing. the hostesses at the restaurant were attentive and upbeat, however, our waitress and food at the restaurant were less than to be desired. food was horribly late, then the waitress, Kaylee, said it didn't have everything on it and took it back and brought it back out even later. it was cold, dry, and very tough. I suggest go for the scenery but do not eat at the restaurant, instead pack a picnic.
