Couple of things to be certain of BEFORE you leave the office. If you are having surgery: 1) CONFIRM EXACTLY WHAT TIME YOUR SURGERY IS. 2) CONFIRM EXACTLY WHICH DOCTOR WILL BE DOING THE SURGERY. 3) Wish I had done this for hernia repair. MAKE CERTAIN THEY KNOW WHAT KIND OF HERNIA YOU HAVE AND THE SIZE. Trust me, I went thru this very problem myself. BEST TO GET A SECOND OPIOION. There are tons of surgeons in LV that do robotic surgery.
Saw this surgeon for a total of about 5 minutes before gallbladder surgery, he was cold and insensitive. I had to return to the hospital for complication from the surgery for 6 days, The doctors at the hospital could not get a return call from his office. I had an follow up appointment 3 weeks later at some Momma Mia location and he was there but did not even look up at me. His PA came in and looked at my stomach and said all looked well. Nearly killed my wife and she now only has 33cm of small intestines due to his laziness and negligence.
The office itself was a strange set up. It run down and dirty. Dr. Caravella and his assistant were dismissive, rude, and judgemental. They were making obvious faces of disgust at each other when I was trying to explain my symptoms.The dr. spent about 90 seconds with me and was hurrying me through. He was abrasive and uninterested. Absolutely horrible. Do NOT go to him
