Mac users After 3 hours of trying to get this thing to work i finally got it by going to my Privacy settings and realizing the computer was blocking the brother software just unlock it and your good to go.
Good scanner with a few flaws It's pretty simple to use. Works through an app. Unfortunately, my Dell tablet doesn't recognize it's connected unless it's plugged in when I turn it on. That means if I decide I want to use it I have to plug it in and restart. Pretty inconvenient. But then, that could just be the result of using a government computer.
