Major problems with Tech Support on the Receipt Software I am very pleased with the actual scanner product. The problem I had was with the specific receipt software, which is why I bought this item to begin with. It took many tech calls until I finally reached a technician that actually worked hard to get the software problem resolved.

Does The Job Does the job and gets documents into PDF, good quality. Small to store away, needs no plug in, only to the USB to power it. It has scanned so far several hundred pages for me into PDF. Worth it.
Does what it was supposed to do The scanner comes with a DVD disk but if your computer doesn't have a DVD drive you have to download the software. This is relatively easy for the drivers and the DSMobile Capture program. Once DSMobile is installed you can easily scan pages. Quality is good. I only use the DSMobile Capture program. Trying to get the other software installed from a download is challenging. Great if you don’t mind slightly crooked scans. This works great for a simple, portable scanner. The only thing I don’t like about it is that sometimes I have to rescan a page several times when trying to get it through the scanner straight. It would have been great if it came with detachable paper guides that go out far enough to help you feed the paper through the scanner straight. But other than that, it works great and is relatively easy to setup and easy to use.
Easy to use!!! I wrote a review for the Scansnap saying how hard it was to use. This Brother scanner was super easy to install and use!!!! Very straight forward with no fancy terminology in the directions. Simply choose the folder to scan to, scan the receipt or document and there it ends up. It does very long receipts if I choose the paper option. The receipt shows up on a black background. Probably a way to fix that but not concerned about it. It's quieter than the Scansnap as well.
Brother Scanner Initially the scanner was great.I used it once and all worked fine. I upgraded my software on my MacBook to Catalina and now the product doesn't work. I need to find out who to speak with to resolve the issue. Otherwise it's a wast of money.
