RecommendedThought we had a water leak in our refrigerator which turned out to be a filter hooked to the water line coming out of the wall. The Tech was very patient looking for the leak. He was a very nice young man, and answered any questions that we had. 5 stars to National Home Warranty.

Bought a 30-year-old home, had the home inspection done, things looked good... well, let’s just say we’ve had them out for four different services in the last six weeks. They have fixed everything without any additional charges (other than flat service call fee). Every technician has been super nice and helpful, too. We’ve had National Home Warranty for 4 years, and every year they got more expensive and the service got worse. They advertise that they will repair or replace covered items, but that is not accurate. Recently our air conditioner went out and it needed a new compressor. After they checked it out, they told us they would replace the compressor, but only up to $1,500. That was there limit on repairing any items covered. If it needed replacing, that would be several thousand dollars, they would only cover $1,500. We had several... read more
Tech came out for a broken water heater, I paid deductible and he removed the heater and left stating someone would contact me for appointment. A few hours later someone did call stating the new water heater and labor were completely covered under warranty, however the “accessories” are not and I have to pay additional $415 for the accessories which bring the total with deductible to $490. RecommendedI noticed that my water heater was leaking. I called National Home Warranty, and the repairman came out that day. We needed to replace the water heater. NHW replaced the water heater. We only had to pay for installation. We finally got our monies worth out of the policy, no questions asked. I would recommend NHW for home owners. We just paid a fraction of the total cost.

RecommendedNever had much trouble scheduling but this time they did not have parts, standard shut off valves, and had to come back. Tech said he could come back next day but scheduler wanted me to wait 4 more days. I had no water in kitchen and that was unacceptable. Finally agreed to come back next day. Customer service was lacking.
Every time Ive had to submit a claim job always takes weeks to be completed , one job never done because they cant fix it unless it burns (electrical panel) .During the holiday I had an emergency , tried calling the “emergency “line a dozen times with no luck ended up Doing the work ourselves . Basically no point in having a home warranty. Very upsetting to pay for something I cant use. Staff is very rude and condescending.
