Run! Profit, not integrity is their only mission. High prices, extremely insincere, definitely commission driven. All I hear from neighbors is horror stories and I can confirm them. I was even charged for work that was never done. I called them on it and was told to bring it back in to do the job they charged me for. Never a good feeling leaving there and that's just not right. I always left there feeling like a victim. Do your homework.
Eagle Auto Review 9/18/23 Beware! Eagle Auto charged $2287 vs RAM dealer quote of $1900 for replacing an e-torque alternator Facts My bad - I was quoted $2200 and agreed to pay $2200 for the service. I learned a valuable lesson to shop around. But, after researching the charge and discussing the bill with Eagle Auto, they keep the charge at $2287.71. Here is a breakdown of the charges: eTorque alternator: $1731.30 vs dealer quote of $1396. Available via web for $903. Labor: $342.61 (two hours of labor) vs dealer quo... read more
I was quoted $365.11 labor for the installation of 8 spark plugs and coil packs on my F-150. I told them I had done 5 of the plugs and coil packs but due to a bad back couldn't finish the back ones. When I picked up my truck the bill was $365.11. When I asked why the full price I was told "those 3 are the hard ones". $121.70 per plug! This is just dishonest and very unprofessional. I will never use this company again. I live in Eagle, not San Francisco. UPDATE: JOSH CALLED THE NEXT MORNING AND THE LABOR CHARGE WAS SATISF... read more
I have NEVER in my life come even CLOSE to having as bad of an experience with mechanics, as I have at Eagle Auto Repair. I have taken my car there TWICE. The first time they told me that my car needed a new engine, and they were worried it would blow up as soon as I left the parking lot. Thankfully I didnt listen despite all their warnings, because I took it to another mechanic, and all it needed was a new O2 sensor. Then a few months ago I had to take my car in and since they could get me in before anyone else, I took my c... read more
I took my classic car in there that needed a lil bit of work, everything these idiots told me was about the opposite of what they did!! they charged me over $4,000 for what they done and I made it about a half mile and car died, had to tow it!!Took it back three times for them to fix it and all that happened was they kept it for three weeks and ran out 3/4 tank of gas test driving it they said!! Now mind you this is an older Corvette so tell me where they test drovbe it when they never fixed anything!!! EVERYTHING these so c... read more
Ahhh...sent my son in to have the A/C checked...Was told over the phone it was a free diagnosis and he walked out the door less $50 for a service fee...they didn't add anything or hook anything up....So...use your best judgement...My experience was quesionable.
While I appreciate a response from the owner, I never spoke with him. The services were deemed severe by the employee calling. After getting a second opinion, the intake gasket was indeed leaking, but it was leaking antifreeze, not motor oil. Also, regarding the picture of the oil level: the owners manual states 4 quarts should be used. When you change the filter and drain the oil, 4 quarts only fills it to half of the oil dip stick when cold. So if near the end of the oil change cycle the oil level is still at half on the ... read more
Business response:
I understand your concern, and I appreciate your suggestion. We are currently starting to implement video inspections in our shop. That would help with this issue. I have had this issue in the past. Here is the problem; I tell the seller that the vehicle has a minor leak that will need addressed at some point in the future. As with any leak I describe the severity and let the customer know that I have no way to predict when the leak will get worse. In this particular situation I told the prospective buyer that the vehicle co... read more
Smoking is a big problem there- inside the shop?! Gross, I could smell it in my car. Guy at the front desk smelled like alcohol. At least the car was fixed correctly.
