I've been bring my cat here as a patient since I got him, the staff I usually dealt with was always so helpful and caring, especially Carla at the front desk. Unfortunately, due to the insensitivity and unwillingness to help of the other receptionist at the front desk, I will no longer be bringing my cat here.

May seem nit-picky, when we took my puppy for her first visit 12/21 and again for her spaying, couldn't be happier, little more money, but I felt very comfortable that my girl's needs were being met. Last visit (annual checkup and shots) a substantial increase in cost was a concern, not a dealbreaker. I was disappointed that Ellicott didn't clip her nails as they had on our previous visits, when I inquired as to why it wasn't performed I was told "we only do that on the first visit." Had I required the service at time if app... read more

I brought my dog smeagols a 3 yr old min pin into the office on 9/27/2017 due to vommitting and loose stools. I then was told that my dog was possibly suffering from pancreatitis and liver failure. My estimate to get the ball rolling was low end 1360 and high end 2665 for 7 days of treatment. I was denied care credit and honestly not the richest person in the world so no i did not have 25% of the high end to get the process going off hand. They let me take smeagols home as sick as he was and not even telling me his condition... read more
I've been a loyal supporter of this vet practice for years...because i thought it was the best care for my pets. DAYS after their vet missed rapid breathing & irregular heart beats during a routine physical, my pet died from heart failure at the emergency vet. Could it have been stopped in time? I'll never know. The regular vet missed it. And after years and THOUSANDS of dollars spent on my pets, the practice didn't even return my call when I left a message about the death. I checked to see if they got my message. When i... read more
Took our 2 year old mixed breed bulldog/boston in for annual shots and a nail clipping, Advised everyone she had a grade 2 minor heart mummer none medication--also advise she was not happy to have her nails done and that if she starts to get upset stop. Took her in the backroom--5 minutes later they came out and said she was not doing well--something with her breathing. When we got back there, she was unresponsive, barely breathing and could not stand at all. She was blue in the mouth and eyes were not focusing at all. As w... read more
Went to Ellicott Small Animal Hospital when I first brought home my dog in May of 2015. Though we had a horrible experience, I had not intended to write a review until I received the latest of many calls from them trying to drain more money out of us. For our appointment we had to spend over an hour in the waiting room even though we had arrived promptly. We then had to wait another hour to an hour to even see a vet tech at which point my dog had urinated on the floor (9 month old puppy). When they got in, the tech said, "oh... read more
I generally have good reviews of the services there. However, I had an appointment with Dr. Garofalo yesterday and I was very upset at the way my dog and I were treated. I initially brought my dog in because I had been to the ER the prior day with Carbon Monoxide Poisoning and was put on 100 % 02 by the ER Physician. As it takes awhile to leave the system I was not feeling very well yesterday. I am a retired woman of 24 years working with Kaleida. I am 70 years old and I have a back injury that happened at work from being hi... read more
Disappointed. .staff was bitchy. They suggested a dog food that i bought but when i got home its was expired which means it was prob in that can for 3 years! Called office and they told me that its ok..still good? !
Used to love this vet-Dr. Grey and Nellis especially. Dr. Grey has left, not sure about Nellis. Lots of staff turnover. The owner (Stevens) now seems more interested in profits than care. We eventually went to another vet for all our dogs. Much better service
