WORST experience ever, CANNOT recommend Escape AT ALL. It was a horror story. We had mice in the car, MICE!!! There must have been a hole somewhere at the bottom of the car where they were able to get in at night - if they hadn’t already been in the car before we got it. They bit through the packages of our bread, cookies etc AND left their droppings all over the kitchen. I highly encourage prospective renters to shop around first. Read reviews on trip advisor as the 4.2/5 on this page seems inflated and not reflective of others experiences. I hired one of the Mavericks for 6 weeks to drive around Western USA, after two weeks it broke down and customer service was unresponsive for hours. Finally, when they did respond, they expected us to sleep in a mechanics car park despite the fact I had a campsite booked for the night. Do not rent from them!! Me and my BF got stuck in the middle of nowhere because their van stopped working... Escape campervans company didn't take any responsibility and of course didn't help us even when the mechanic said that this van can't be fixed in the next few days.. therefore I really recommend to you guys do not rent from them! They got nice vans but when something happens They leave you to fend for yourself! What a shame!
The customer service and roadside assistance is absolutely terrible.
Worst customer service - sending people out in vans that should not be on the road. Stranded in WY for two days. They told us to find a way home when the van rented broke down! NEVER RENT ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY IF YOU WANT TO MAKE IT TO YOUR DESTINATION.
If the van works, you have a great trip, 5 star review. If the van breaks and you get stranded, then the company replaces said broken van, you get a five star review. If the van breaks down and you do nothing to fix the problem, then leave your customers stranded in a different state, and won’t replace the van, or give any refunds, SHAME ON YOU! You should be embarrassed! All you had to do was replace the van and take care of your customers. How are you still in business? I hope you make this right and give a full refund!
Their equipment is garbage
Don’t rent from them! They left my step niece and her husband stranded after the camper van they rented broke down! Worst customer service ever!!! Consider yourself warned!
Poor customer service! When their rentals break down, they will not answer calls or provide replacement vehicles!
