I have had a storage unit for almost two years and found the facility to be clean and the staff friendly. That was until last week. Marlin, who apparently is some sort of trainer/mentor, came to my place of business and told a co worker that he was going to impound my car if I didn't move it. I work next door to this location and had been allowed to park my vehicle on their lot. The only reason I can give it 1 star is because it is clean. The customer service is non-existent at this location. I suspect it's a company wide problem however. They raised my rent 60% in 1.5 years and we're talking 10 dollars a month at a time!! Not only is it an incredible rip off, they will NEVER and I mean NEVER call you back to talk about anything. In December of 2014 there were 30+ units broken into. They apparently caught one of the people responsible, but didn't bother to notify their customers. I happened to come by in January to put some stuff in my unit and discovered that my unit had been broken into. Jewelry and several thousands of dollars worth of camera equipment are missing. The insurance that I purchased through Extra Space Storage of course doesn't cover jewelry and only covers a maximum of $2,000. I am out a lot of equipment. DO NOT STORE YOUR BELONGINGS... read more
