The staff at this location are unavailable and unfriendly. I did not have one interaction that left me feeling good about giving my money to Extra Space. I'll never rent from this organization again.

Another Update: Management says they will allow a transfer to another unit on another review site. My issue isn't the fact they raised my rate. My issue is the percentage amounts they were raised. Everyone has different rates. If it was a straight 20% increase to everyone, that would be fair. That's not what they did. My rate was raised by a total of approximately 70% in a year. Update: As you can see from the response below, they don't actually have a desire to correct the problem or be customer-focused. Just excuses. Original Review: My bill just doubled without notice and this location has refused to adjust this month's auto-bill in ANY way. FULL REVIEW: I have been with the Extra Space location in Bedford for over a year, and have been a prior customer over the years. They have constant rate increases, new managers come and go every few months and if you are late on rent and get locked out, WATCH OUT! They cut the lock on your unit and replace it with theirs instead of just adding their lock onto it. When this happened to me, I had stuff stolen. I told the manager and he said it wasn't possible because he had someone with him when he cut the locks. It was not only possible, but it DID happen. If I could give these rude people less than one star I would! The lady at the front counter is the rudest, worst costumer service person. She yelled at me within walking five feet in the door. Yelling over the customers who were at her counter. The other manager who was not very helpful in getting his employee under control, she even ran off two customers. We've now been with Extra Space storage for 2 1/2 years. When we first got our 10X10 unit 2 1/2 years ago, our rate was 85$ a month. As of 04/19/2014, we will be paying 115$. Time to find another storage facility.
