The fact our rate increases CONSTANTLY is annoying. I'm paying $102 a month for a 5x10 space that started at $60 a month 2 years ago! Will definitely be looking elsewhere to store our things with the dramatic and constant rate increases.
I tried renting from a different extra space storage but the one on Jamestown is rat infested. This was the next closest storage facility that had plenty of available spaces. There is a reason they have so many availabilities. No one in their right mind would store any valuables here. I didn't even need to go into the office. I saw someone open their locker as soon as I got there and a whole family of rats ran out into the street. They should just change the name from extra space storage to the rat hotel.
Please be aware of ANY Extra space storage facility! They are poorly managed, infested with rats and refuse to help customers. If you need to use storage, go somewhere else or your belongings will be lost! All my families items stored in our unit have been destroyed by urine and feces from rodents. I am so sad and wish I never used this company. I went to check on my items and bring a few summer toys to store and found the rat droppings! It is clear I am not the first w this problem! Extra space storage is rat infested. They do not care and if you talk to managment about it they will tell you to pound sand. They make you buy insurance and then they tell you that insurance does not cover rat infestation.
This place is a HUGE TRAP, do not rent a storage unit from this place. Lets start at the beginning. First, there are two huge banners attached to the building that state the first month is free. When I asked for the discount the sales clerk said it did not apply to this location. I asked than why were the two banners installed.
