I've been with Extra Space Storage since 2010. I've changed unit sizes a few times from small to large and back to smaller again. The staff never gives me a hard time and are always very helpful and quick to meet my needs. Kristina was great in getting me set up with my new unit. I've never had any problems with my stuff and the staff is excellent... I absolutely recommend extra space on Perry Ave.

Great experience! I reserved a space online and Ken called me right away to confirm my reservation. He even stayed after to ensure I could complete the paperwork and have the storage space that same day. The facility is clean and secure. Also, my storage door was hard to open and the staff immediately noticed and solved the problem with some WD40. They are very responsive with great prices too! I would definitley recommend this storage facility.
The irony they wanted me to leave a review upon renting a space here. I have my stuff at Xtra Space Watt/Fruitridge Location and I decided to rent a space on Stockton Blvd because it's much closer to my house. Boy, it was not good. 1)I rented a 10x20. I measured it and definitely not exactly 10x20, it's a foot shorter and couple of inches short wide. NOT THAT BIG OF DEAL but.. 2)There are holes in the wall. They bait and switch the prices upon your lease agreement. My mom just tragically passed away and I was stuck with the burden of finding a place to store her stuff. I was sold on the price I saw online but once everything went through they swapped my lease agreement to a (non-website deal) so I can't access the price I see online, which is a huge difference. Would not recommend. These places talk about communicate controlled storage and yet the inside storage units are hotter than the outside air. Didn't stop them from trying to charge me $200 a month though

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE!!!! I have had a unit here for only 3 months, and they have already raised the rent 100% I specifically asked the rental agent about rent hikes, he assured me that wouldn't happen, and that Extra Space storage wouldn't raise rates. 3 months later my rent has been raised 100% and the district manager explained to me that I had basically been swindled into signing a lease that allowed rent hikes. DO NOT USE THIS FACILITY!! My partner has been renting a unit from this facility since 2014, and in December 2021, we had gone to the storage and found that it had been broken into. Someone had cut through the walls from the storage unit behind and stole a bunch of things from the storage unit. They also went through the walls to the units next to my partner's unit!
