Extra Space Storage has been by FAR the best Storage Facility I've used, and Tom was especially helpful and went above and beyond his job description when I came in frantic, last minute, looking for a place to store my belongings and he did EVERYTHING he could and got me a great deal, provided excellent customer service, and made the stressful process that it could have been very painless! There is seldom I see such great customer service. I needed a storage unit only for a week between moving apartments. Margie went out of her way to help me out . She gave me a great deal. Plus she took care of the little things , which a storage unit noob like me wasn't aware of.I was notsure how much space I would need and she reserved an extra unit , just in case . If I ever need a storage unit again , I know where to go.

I wanted a site near me that I felt safe with and that gave size choices. I started by reserving online then Margie called and asked me a few more questions to insure I was comfortable. I went over later that day and Tom showed me my site and the best aisles to enter and exit. Very helpful- very pleased- perfect customer service.

I needed a storage unit in a hurry after moving out of my last place and Margie, the Store Manager, totally rescued me. She returned my call even though she was headed out of town, and arranged for me to be able to get my stuff into the unit and come in the next day to get everything squared away. She went above and beyond, and even reserved a second unit for me once I told her what I would be putting in it, because she obviously knows it's crazy to try to fit a couch in a 5x5. Margie was AMAZING! I cannot stress enough how helpful she was. I was in limbo between having to move out of my apartment before shipping off to Officer Development School in Rhode Island for 5 weeks and then having to have military movers come move me out 3 weeks after I was into school across the country to Maryland...needless to say a lot of moving parts and logistics. Margie was awesome, kept me stress free while I was off training and took care/guided my dad who was my point of contact for the move. Great for military!... read more

The best storage place! I have rented many storage units over the years since I own a staging company and I'm always storing furniture. The manager Margie really makes this place stand out from anywhere else. She is the main reason why I choose to use this storage facility over any other. She is a good example of going WAY beyond her job duties to help out with any little thing that may come up. This place has the biggest units I've found also and good hours so I highly recommend it!

We stored our furniture at Extra Space Storage in San Diego for about four months while we were away for the summer. When we came back, we found the floor completely soaked with water, and many of our belongings were badly damaged -- including three mattresses, their toppers, waterproof covers, storage bags, and several household appliances and furniture pieces. A barely 6 months after signing in for a certain price, got a mail notifying me of a whooping 87% price increase on my unit due to "we continually review market prices". 87%!!! What a joke, I will be canceling and go somewhere else.
