AVOID THIS COMPANY IF YOU CAN!! Less than 3 months into renting a unit they nearly doubled our rate. What the..!? Talk about bait and switch!! Then you see that they are offering larger units for less than what you paid originally for a smaller unit!? What kind of under-handed shady cr@p is this!?

Extra space is a total scam. If I could curse on here I'd use all the words multiple times. I was at a great storage facilty $95/month. I got it in 2020. Extra Space bought them out - they also bought out my mom's and sister's storage space small comapnies as well. I know pay $229/month! my moms? - $330! my sisters? $295! They're AWFUL for doing this. DO NOT STORE YOUR THINGS HERE!!! My unit and a large number of other units were broken into. They advertise themselves as secure storage but it is obviously anything but secure. Whoever broke into my unit was easily able to gain access. All they had to do was climb up and over by pusing past the roof insulation and remove the hasp with a simple socket set from inside the unit. Sent price increases to my old address, even thought all paid bills were emailed to me. Very, very sneaky people. Not worth the insane pricing. I did auto-pay and its cost me another $1000 over the last four years. Very shady operatoin. Avoid them.

Scumbags! They lock you in at a cheap price. Then after 5 months, they increase your rate. They know you most likely do not want to move your stuff to another storage facility so they know your trapped and take advantage of you by increasing the rate. They also damage your locks by putting stickers on them and claim this is an "industry standard." They nickel and dime you and take trash to you through Email. I have used this facility for 2 years and have nothing but good things to say about this place and highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a safe, secure and convenient place to store their personal items. It is rare these days to receive good customer service and when I had a problem, Steve and Kristin were there to help resolve in a timely matter. New manager and management sucks. We'll be pulling out of 2 of our 3 units soon. Keeping one for deliveries.
I needed to store some furniture for 6 weeks, starting in Mid January. Shannon told me when I moved in that I needed to prepay each month. She then said that when I moved out halfway through the prepaid period I would be pro-rated back a refund. When I made my last payment (2/13-3/12) I told Christopher that I would be moving out on 3/1.....he told me to come in on that day and I would receive a pro-rated refund.
