While the facility is convenient, there are never any carts available. There is nothing in place to stop people from taking multiple carts even during peak times. In addition, customers often leave the carts at their units and staff don't seem to be too concerned about retrieving them.

Pricing is outrageous, the amount of times it has fluctuated is also ridiculous. I'm paying A QUARTER of what I was paying at another storage facility. Location is always dirty, other tenants are constantly leaving garbage behind. Very strange but even the elevators smell like literal garbage cans. I can positively say they are responsive but that's about it. I'm guessing I was paying for the title of the neighborhood. Wish I left sooner.

Set up is a great experience and the units are clean and easily accessible, but 3 months in I received a postcard in the mail (that I nearly threw away b/c it looked like junk) indicating in very small font that my rent for a 5' x 5' space would be nearly doubling from $49/month to $89/month. I called the office, and Mike explained that I'd signed a month-to-month contract that says the price could change anytime based on whatever Extra Space determines is "market rate" for my unit. The website is very misleading. I thought I was getting one unit and the actual unit they had for me was a 4 foot tall cubby stacked on their other units. It had to be accessed by a rolling metal staircase. Then when I said this wasn't what I signed up for they said I could upgrade but pay $50 more a month. I said no and asked for a refund. I find it fascinating that my previous negative review is not showing up under the Extra Space Storage profile. They must pay to have them removed. My rate was originally $50 per month when I first purchased the storage unit a year and a few months ago. My storage space is the equivalent of a shallow walk in closet. This place is extraordinarily expensive relative to other storage options in the neighborhood. Public Storage and East Bank Storage are about 30%+ cheaper. Think about that 30% in terms of dollars per month and per year. But it's brand new! So you won't get stuck with a dingy storage unit, so add a star for that.
