I rented a 10'15' space for a year and after 3 months received a card in the mail saying my monthly rate was being increased by $30 /month due to market increase. I was really upset. I felt like this information was in the fine print and should have been made clear over the phone at my initial meeting. Don't think you're good rate is locked in... call around and ask.

Unfortunately, I'm unable to assign zero stars to Extra Space Storage. After parking my RV there for two months, I received a notice that the monthly rate would increase by over 60%. I went to retrieve the RV at the end of the paid period after cancelling my contract. When I started the RV, it was immediately apparent that there was a problem. In the 2 years I've rented from this facility, they've increased the monthly fee several times without notice. I log in to pay my bill only to find it has increased a few dollars every few months. Never have I received a notice by mail or email or even a phone call. I decided to move my things to another company, therefore I went in person to give the required 30 day notice and the man behind the counter acted like it wasn't necessary.
