DO YOUR HOMEWORK before renting here. I rented a unit June 1, 2021 for a very fair price and put all my belongings in storage here so that I could go stay with my aging mom in Florida for a number of months. I just received a notice that my rate was escalating 47%!!!! That is unbelievable. So in 4 months time, a 47% raise. There can be no reasonable justification for this increase. Employees are pretty friendly. We've had numerous times, past & present, not being able to get into our unit due to issues with the storage facility (gates not working etc) not ours. Very frustrating. We have also witnessed homeless coming out of a unit and dumping pee in the drain. Extra Space increases rates regularly. Ridiculous since we've been with them for years and have to put up with broken gates, homeless, etc. For example, in March of 2016 we paid 407.00/mo, now we pay $515.20/mo and today we received notice of ano... read more

I never had any issues here, the employees were always very nice and friendly, which is why they get 2 stars. They surely liked me as they simply auto debited the payment monthly, so it was never late. This was the first time in my life that I've ever rented a storage unit, and I'm not young. So, when it comes to questions to ask, I wasn't prepared. I used them my storage because they were the closest to where I was moving out. I've had my stuff in a 10 x 15 storage for 5 and 1/2 months and I had a lot of extra room so I decided to move into a smaller unit cuz I am on a fixed income due 2 my disability. When I went to the office negotiate my contract they said they'll even know I didn't qualify for the free month rent for new people they were going to try to get me the internet service rate which was about $40 less per month for a 10 x 10 storage unit.
